Duangrat's

5878 Leesburg Pike (Rte 7)

Half way between Bailey’s Crossroads and Seven Corners, this is hands down the best Thai restaurant in the area. There’s over a hundred dishes to choose from and real Siamese heat in half of them. If you have never had fish done Thai style, you are in for a treat. The crusted rock fish (striper), crisp salmon, poached snapper or crispy cod are all outstanding.

If it’s your first visit, you might want to make a meal out of appetizers. Try a sampler of angel’s wings (chicken stuffed with minced shellfish and noodles), shrimp mermaids, oyster puppies and sea shells (wanton stuffed with crab, coconut and cilantro).

This is a great place to take your mate or a date or both at the same time. As long as they focus on the menu and the food, you’re good to go.

Thailand is known as the land of a thousand smiles – for good reasons. The dinning room staff is attractive, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. No K Street attitudes here. This is one of those rare restaurants where you seldom go wrong with a recommendation from the front room. Full bar and plenty of parking. They will take reservations.
